June Plot Overview and Game Start!

Thank you, one and all, for joining! As of now, you may begin making IC posts to the Omegafriends community. You may have noticed, however, that there is already a sinister scheme afoot, orchestrated by the insane mad scientist, Dr. Dementia Devious. This is a plot that will be lurking in the background for most of the month, coming into the foreground as it ends.

The purpose of this post is to plan ahead for the plot that will be unfolding over the course of June. If you don't want to be spoiled, you'd best stop reading now!

Right Now
Dr. Devious has made a declaration that a new device will lead to the demise of Venture City, and has already been activated. For now, there is no specific action to take, but PCs can begin searching for Devious's diabolical device.

In other news, teens across the city rejoice as today marks the first day of summer vacation!

Early June
If PCs are looking for the device, it will eventually be found - there is some kind of transmitter beacon hidden somewhere in Venture City, guarded by a squad of Deviobots, including their mechanically malicious manager, Leader One. Any hero searching alone will be in big trouble if spotted, but if a group of heroes are to attack, they will be able to defeat the Deviobots and seize the transmitter.

Once the transmitter is in Omegafriends hands, scientific types (or Dr. Jefferson, if nobody else is available for it) can begin research on it in the background.

Mid-June
Research on Devious's transmitter will reveal its secrets: A message from Dr. Devious to the Omegafriends, the transmitter's true purpose, and a glimpse of a new villain yet to come.

Late June
A huge meteor will be spotted, on a collision course with Venture City. Time to come up with some heroic plans!

End of June
The meteor's secret is revealed, as it comes to a stop high in the sky above Venture City: It's not actually a meteor at all! The "meteor" opens up, and what's inside is revealed as the true threat. The battle to save Venture City begins!

Use this post as a plotting hub. Villains, you are free to have your own plans going on during all this (and to use this post as a place to plan them out), but try to keep any major battles away from the end of the month!

The big battle at the end of June will have two parts: A large fight in Venture City, and a smaller fight on the meteor itself. Who will attack the meteor, and how will they get there? Who will be working together to protect the city?

JEB IS SO EXCITED.

By combining the Mark 1-2 Capsule and a 'Hitchhiker Container' Jeb can loft maybe 7 heroes aloft to the Meteor. Each extra Hitchiker Container will hold 4 more people, but the dead weight makes more than one per rocket impractical-and the container can't survive re-entry. Users may need to use a personal reentry device.

The Hitchhiker Container has designated compartments for the following items
-Food.
-Not Food.
-Refuse
-Trash
-Rubbish
-Junk
-Board Games
-Toothbrushes
-Laundry

It also has four acceleration couches, and non-functional controls for each seat so you can feel important while you sit around as cargo.

It is very important to make sure that the switch is set to "More Science" at all times.

It's more a wall-mounted cabinet. But it could contain literally anything. Microscopes? Ampules? Soil sample collection scoops? Maybe even a tiny nuclear particle accelerator or a guide-book to rocks! We've got so much science we had to add an extra compartment to hold it all in!

That can be where Sherri sits, then. He is a science. He can collect science on the science. Science, science science.

Just don't open the compartment in flight. You'll let all the science out!

I'm thinking Clark will be joining in the meteor fight, but he's probably gonna fly up. Might even by able to guid the rocket back in if it hasn't fallen back down to earth by the time they finish.

Well, the Heartcatch girls can all fly. So that's a thing to consider, yes? At the very least, they're ones who would have little effort in getting there under their own power.

Going to assume the Omnitrix is going to be kind and give Ben access to Jetray for the first time for this battle. He can carry one person if need be via holding that person in his feet claws or someone can jump on his back as he zips by.

Soma can easily help on either end, though looks like the Meteor's well covered so he'll be helping out in the city. He's got some minor magic including a barrier, ability to become a bat, and a stone that basically gives him the ability to drop night-time on enemies and ambush them.

And here, Silverwing will definitely be assisting at keeping peace in the city. Plenty of heroes will be booking it for the big bad, so she knows that the city's going to be ripe with not just Dr. Devious's other plans, but other criminals thinking that the heroes are away so it's time to play.

I'm thinking Superman is going up to meet the meteor, and given that he's Superman he'll be getting there under his own power.
